After a few days off, we’re back on track. this past days, we made some minor corrections, like trimming the edges, filling and sanding some bits, and wiping off the dust. Then, we began glassing the hull. The shape is looking great so far. There’s still a lot to do, but I’m clearly happy with the outcome up to this point.

After a six-month break, we’re slowly getting back to finishing the boat. The most recent work we completed involved glassing the hull, correcting imperfections, and sanding it down. This week, we’ve started cleaning up the workshop and preparing to flip the boat over so we can begin working on the interior.
There’s still plenty to do, including building the keel, rudder, windvane, and countless small tasks, but we have all winter ahead of us. I plan to post more updates in the coming weeks as progress picks up again.
What’s great in the meantime is that the younger generation of sailors has started showing interest in the whole idea of building a boat and navigating the oceans. From time to time, we invite them over to try out the tools and get hands-on experience. Not that we don’t enjoy all the sanding, of course! 😄
